Is it necessary to teach Monday, December 21st, for example? Why not start the school year one day earlier instead?
Culture Shock at Kansai Gaidai University
This is a collection of actual complaints made by the foreign faculty at Kansai Gaidai University. What are they complaining about? Everything from students using the elevators instead of the stairs to, God forbid, students playing too noisily on the recreation field. Although the teachers themselves see these as legitimate complaints, some would argue they are examples of cultural dissonance between the host culture and the complainants' native cultures. Let the blog reader decide...

A little tweaking would go a long way to making the schedule flow smoothly. Not likely to happen this decade though...
