Student elevator delinquency
Another thing: can the university 'educate' students - by use of signs or whatever means - NOT to use the elevators to go up only one floor? FFS, I even had a student today who got on to go DOWN one floor.
This is a collection of actual complaints made by the foreign faculty at Kansai Gaidai University. What are they complaining about? Everything from students using the elevators instead of the stairs to, God forbid, students playing too noisily on the recreation field. Although the teachers themselves see these as legitimate complaints, some would argue they are examples of cultural dissonance between the host culture and the complainants' native cultures. Let the blog reader decide...

Teenagers are lazy the world over, this one won't fly.
it's their right anyways. they pay tuition, and you get your salary from what they pay, so why resent it? use the stairs if you want
It's not really the fault of the university that students are lazy; and i imagine the majority don't use the elevators in such a way. Actually, the only time i recall seeing the 'one floor only' scenario happen was with the morbidly obese american and the japanese girls in ridiculous heels.
Who cares if a student rides the elevator one floor?? Like really, who is it hurting?
